painting classes

I teach contemporary and traditional  painting techniques in oil, German mixed technique egg tempera, acrylic and watercolour. I cover aspects such as preparation of painting surfaces and grounds for wood, canvas and linen, as well as making wax and damar painting and glazing mediums, underpainting, glazing and colour mixing.

For both beginners and more experienced painters wanting to increase their painterly skills, the general atmosphere is one of experimenting, learning as required and knowledge sharing.

The painting sessions are hands-on art making, exploring materials and techniques, colour mixing, preparation of grounds, including discussions about subject matter, and contemporary practice.

3 Hours session on Mondays 11am to 2pm, 6 week courses.

Location: Sandringham Auckland.

Cost full at $288, at $48 a class.
