Turn and Run

Raewyn Turner - 2002

Turn and Run is a video interpretation of Neil Finn’s song of the same title. I used misinterpretation and free association to build images of war games played by my children and their friends, and visuals from friends and neighbours who work in war zones, for example, Palestine.

I was commissioned by APRA NZ to make an audio visual work of the song that won the award the previous year. Turn and Run opened the APRA Silver Scroll 2002 Awards ceremony.
